Access Dimensions

Didn't find your answer?

Any there any dimensions lite or dimensions users out there who have written an accurate "historic" aged creditor or aged debtor report please.

One that actually balances back to the trial balance for the period in question.

It's not possible under the standard reports as period is not a searchable option, and nor is transaction type, but it presumably is possible under Crystal.

Happy to reciprocate for a working copy.

Beat me to it!
Hi Ian

You beat me to it! I was going to take a guess that you were aging by days rather than period and therefore could only search by date instead of period.

Anyway, glad you're sorted now.

We have a dedicated Access Accounts team at BDO so if you need anything in future, you're welcome to call or email.

Aged reports

Hi all

I know this link is historic but I am having difficulty with Access accounts

I have had dimensions lite for over 8 years and I always used to reconcile to the penny each month_ aged debtor balance to the brought forward balance on the bank for invoice discounting.

My aged debtor report would run on wide report showing up to 120 days. We used to be able to correct sales allocations etc without it effecting the old aged debtor reports providing the periods were closed.

Now I have had an upgrade, even when the periods are closed the historic  balance is changed on my old aged reports. ( messing me up hugely!)

Access support say that is correct but I honestly thought once closed, the reports couldn't be changed. I can't believe that we are suddenly making more changes/corrections than in the last eight years. Maybe I am going nutty but my brought forward balance moves about so much that we have to leave incorrect allocations as they are - which is not good for customer statements ( access advised to leave them incorrect!) I need the reports set in stone and locked in for the banking records  Ahhh!
