Accomodation costs for the Self Employed

My client took on an 6 - 8 month contract in another part of the country. To ensure he arrived at his clients premises promptly each day he rented a flat for the duration of the contract. He stayed at the flat during the week and returned to his own home at the weekend.

Can he claim the expense in his self employed accounts ?
