Would you listen to a live, daily digital radio channel especially for the industry and accountancy professionals? What would you like to hear on it - debate, interviews, discussion, news, sport?

Accountancy is such an ocean wide topic, so it is worthwhile and rational to have it go on the air.
There are so many related topics like risk management, corporate collapse (get well-known professors and corporate leaders to have their comments aired), comments on standards and practices, etc etc..... the long long list goes on.
On a slightly more constructive note...
My guess is that accountancy is too narrow an area for a whole radio channel. However, I think a good business channel would be viable, since there is very little good coverage of business by radio - Today Programme has a bash at it, but unfortunately most of their reporters don't understand business (especially the dreadful Rebecca Marsden). Not sure Radio 5 does particularly well on that score either.
You could then have specific accounting slots within that, as well as features on business issues, interviews with business leaders, etc.
Presumably you'd be looking for advertising support, and to be honest, as a B2B marketing director (for the CODA Group), I'd be interested if it was well executed.
If you did educational features that supported students studying accounting, you'd also be onto a winner, particularly if (as one of your correspondents asked) you could cover the middle and far east - via the internet. There is a huge audience there. You should team up with the institutes - again, I can give you contacts there if you want...
I also know a damn good journalist you could work with, but that's another matter (and it's not me!). Get me on [email protected] if you're interested in following up!

Hey Craig, how about Laurier and Niceday
....this is what is needed once a month. Have this advertised over the air in accountancy radio? So that this is known too.
I got the idea two decades ago when I saw a photographer snapping pictures of Laurier and Niceday.
Insomniac cure
Perhaps you are trying too hard – accountancy radio will work no trouble – as an insomnia cure. Just imagine someone droning on about the subtleties of reporting requirements of the lastest FRS – I’d be out like a light. And think of the subliminal advertising opportunity that goes with it.
And you could sell MP3 files a la iTunes– fall asleep on the train/plane with help from your iPod (but not to be played whilst driving).
All this and CPE hours too – pure genius.
We'd Say Yes To Digitialised Acccountancy Progs,
because as nightime radio presenters the more people who sleep during peak scheduling times then the more listners for us in the dead of night. This beats the handful of strange HGV truckers currently making up our audience.
nice idea but...
no! Although a lunch time on-line programme might go down well. what else have we got to do from 1-2pm? worth a thought perhaps.
Listen whilst driving...
....you'll nod off! Collect 3 points and a sixty quid fine for the suggestion.
If you had to go ahead with it, then I suppose John Peel would be the ideal presenter. Drone, drone zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.
Radio station
I already DJ on a global net station.. www.dnbradio.com not to everyones taste but it is a great way to relax after a hard day in taxland and combatting the Inland Revenue.
Sad?
Well I would listen to it!
...if I could pick up the information I need without having to read it and during what is otherwise wasted time (e.g. when driving).
availability of channel worldwide?
I am sure those from middle-east, far east besides west would like to hear it.
Can you confirm if this is available to all?
Accountancy radio
I can understand the rationale behind it, but...God how boring!! It's bad enough having to listen to 'consultants' all day without invading my personal areas!
why ?
would anyone want to listen to an accountancy channel for sport, here are the football results
