Accounts package

Accounts package

Didn't find your answer?

We are a small business with 10 customers and growing invoiced monthly. Turnover £500,000. Creditors, approx 50. Staff maximum 40.
We need P & L, balance sheet, VAT reports, PAYE & NI details. We could also be interested in a warehouse stock control system not allied to the above.

Telephone me for a trial version of Quickbooks
Telephone me on 01275 854237 for a trial version of Quickbooks and Quickbooks Pro to see if you like either of them. Easy to use system with nice user interface together with neat help system including both audio and video "show me how to do it" clips.

Quickbooks includes all the usual features of a smaller business accounting system plus stock control and purchase ordering. Quickbooks Pro adds on estimates and quotes, job costing, time tracking and other features. An integrated payroll package can be added onto either version. Covers all the reports you list and many more.

Pentium preferred (no need to buy a P11 or P111 to run it) but will run on a 486/66 or higher. Needs 256 colour monitor (preferably SVGA), 16MB RAM minimum (32MB prefered), allow 120MB hard drive space, sound card + speakers + CD drive for video help files, for Windows 95 / 98 / NT operating systems.

Around 1M users worldwide which speaks for itself!

Small Business Accounts Package
I've been working in the accounting software market for a few years and the Sage family of products are certainly hard to beat - and their ubiquity is turning the support services into an almost commodity market. There are other companies with a more innovative set of products.

Impartially, as I sell neither, I suggestyou look at Sage Line 50 and contrast this with Intuit Quickbooks.

I'd also advise that your purchase decision is based not simply on price (there is likely to be little differential anyway) but consider the relationship you will have with your supplier - it may be appropriate to purchase the product from your accountant or the local PC superstore if you are morelikely to get the levels of service you need.

Sage is good also consider QuickBooks
Sage is a good product - but a bit accountant oriented - if you're not into double entry you could try QuickBooks which is very user friendly, flexible and also lets you undo your mistakes very easily. It's also a bit cheaper, (last time I looked).

Recommend Sage
I can add my recommendation of Sage Line 50. Not only is the program easy to use but the helpline system is first class. The very latest version includes an improved version of stock control... and they also do a Job Costing program which looks useful in managing stocks as well as costs.

Accounts Package
I know this might sound like a rather obvious suggestion but Sage provide a number of accounting solutions for the small and medium sized business sector, Line 50 probably being the most popular amongst our client base. They also have a payroll package which can be linked to the accounts system and stock control built into the accounts package.
Further information can be obtained at www.sagesoft.co.uk or if you give me a call on 0191 567 5471 or email me at [email protected] I can arrange to have some further info. sent to you as we are Sage resellers.

Software
Could also try TAS - 60 day money back guarantee if not satisfied. This will cope with all you seem likely to need. Reporting also very flexible.
