Can anyone tell me if these pro-forma templates of small business Accounts and partnerships available in Adobe Acrobat 5.0 for can be imported into either Excel or Word?
They say that you can modify them, copy them and use them, but I just cannot get then to make any sense when I try to copy and paste, or even import them direct.
Would save an awful lot of typing and lining up decimals!

Sarmad - to satisfy your curiosity!
Sarmad,
Just in case you don't have anything better to do then you could download the PDF files from this link:
Once you have exhausted all your ideas and if the copying and pasting still doesn't work, then you could post a supplementary question for somebody to give you a work-around solution.
Hope this helps.

Acrobat pdf files
I've found the Adobe acrobat 5 save as RTF not quite as successful as I would wish.
An alternative is that I understand Scansoft Omnipage Pro 11.0 will read in PDF files and convert them into editable word files.
However, the idea of PDF files is that you create a file for people to annotate but not to change, hence why acrobat is not the most friendly of editing software.
Acrobat pdf files / Omnipage
I've just done a little experiment using omnipage to read in a pdf file, OCR it, then save as either word or excel. It's worked quite well, although as always seems to be the case with this type of package, a bit of editing is going to be required. But at least the software got the numbers and words into an editable format.
Background?
I have on occasion turned a PDF into a bit map and used it as a background to a word document. Then placed text boxes in the appropriate places to fill in. I'm not sure it was worth the effort, but it does work!
Try this
John
Have you tried resaving a copy of the file in RTF format (rich text format) and then opening the resaved file in Word.
Depending on how the PDF file was constructed in the first place, you could well get a good result to use in Word.
Open your .pdf file and then go to File, Save as. Enter a different file name and select the location on your hard drive. Select RTF in the File Type window and click on Save. Open MS Word and select File, Open. Locate the resaved file and open.
Hope this helps.
