Instead of fielding question to the CEO...........
...........may we ask the questions here instead as this forum surely draws much more crowd than reading the association's journal.

Mr CEO, you said to have crusade for the upgrade of AIA ranking set by the ICAEW and what have you achieved so far? Is AIA in par with ICAEW already?

How about the IFAC application you have been telling your Far East members............and the MIA recognition in the VERY NEAR FUTURE..................and the application to Privy Council for a Royal Charter which many members asked to apply despite a home member base of less than 5000 members?

Let's hear these important questions answered.

Probably
Farmer Giles (Snr) - you will probably be granted exemption from examination subject to providing evidence of sufficient CPE (Continuous Procreation Experience).

This should be exhaustive (but will probably be exhausting).

Dr Roberts and Stephen Punk
Dr Roberts, the figures are merely in line with the Law of Diminishing Returns, I hope you are also doctorated in Economics so that I don't have to spend time explaining to a medical doctor.

To arrest the decline, I can see why (CPE) [[ie . CP(rocreation)E ]] comes into picture here. Are all members currently married? If not, encourage them to do so. Otherwise, the world will see a decline in numbers.

Good to read Steamcel Long comes in here because his great research into Stem cell therapy would possibly increase the population base and help procreate future population who looks like all the great CEOs, COOs, CFOs, CMOs, CIOs, CIAs, CPOs, and the world never misses any of the past figureheads of this great century.

This will resolve the issue of GOING CONCERN from now on.

Old MacDonald
It was good to hear from you again, I know you've had problems at the EIEIO. Perhaps you need a hand from Farmer Giles (Snr)? Apparently, he's still keeping his hand in.

Steamcel
Thank you for your kind comments, but the subject matter you are discussing is more relevant to Dr. Roberts' field, so to speak.

Although I do think it is relevant to speak of it in terms of spheres.

Incidentally Dr., I haven't heard from you recently. You were part of an outfit, Blow something or other, but it would be nice if you could update me on what you're producing these days. Of course, it may be exhausting...

Some new methods incorporated can help, Stephen
Stephen, did you realise how great the world was when 'round'? Things goes round and round and never stops, understand!

So, when you tried your end-brand "A.I.A", it gives me an excellent idea of how a round world produce and keep producing.

Are you sure you went through the right authority, at the very least.

Make sure you produce the right quality, right quantity, right mix, right persons, right all the time right. If not, then I help you out. Look what I credentials hold.

Stem cell producer of future international breed of accountants.

At last
Some useful interaction that stops ridiculing my organisation. My good colleague, Steven Perm, and I cannot express enough thanks.

We often find that large scale discussions are required to tackle such a subject, and a mass debate can sometmes be the only way to get inside such a beast.

And thank you Farmer Giles (Snr) for keeping your hand in, your contribution is welcome and always will be until the cows come home.

OK, read latecomer's opinion of mine!
S L, how come you are so optimistic about the population increase given the set of "current incentives" "implemented" for "future gowth and succession" of an international body?

Explain, will you?

I am planning to post something on the thread "GOING CONCERN, etc" - don't worry, you fellaas, I didn't start that SSAP 2 thread of basic concerns of today's growth of certain accountancy bodies.

My friend told me that members in aiaworldwide.com are still pushing for AIA's application to Privy Council for CHARTERED AIA membership.

I read, S L and the rest of his gangwriters has clearly indicated that you need 5000 homeland members before you can apply for CHARTEREDSHIP.

Someone also wrote in that website to ask their CEO to better reply to so many questions asked. Why the ??? silence?

I know for sure SILENCE IS NOT GOLDEN at this moment, contrary to the adage SILENCE IS GOLDEN.

APrediction - membership to be less than 4K in 2013
AIA success was in the HK and Malaysia region. Before the IComA merger, most of AIA membership comes from this two regions because of recognition by HKSA and malaysian members joined AIA hoping for recognition and never got. With little to no recognition in HK (MEPE..what is that? LOL) and absolutely no recognition in malaysia (BFD ----- for being equivalent to a BA degree??? LOL)....membership in this two region will drop.

The cash cow in these regions is over......
The irony is AIA is unknown in UK, its own country.

A question for Mr Punk.
If I am a member in good standing in the AIA can I be given membership of the Insemination of Cows Authority in England and Wales without having to sit the exams?

But not as much as my organisation, the EIEIO.

But at least I still get agricultural allowance.

AIA
one of the side effects of the new annual investment allowance must be that deferred tax charges & provisions are surely much more likely to be material amounts- has there been any other posts on this?

Never heard of AIA
Apart from postings on AWeb I've never heard of AIA.

The postings in relation to AIA on AWeb seem totally meaningless to me with foreign sounding names and "Prof Tots" being a common feature and no practically useful information being disseminated.

I wonder if the postings about AIA are perhaps some form of light relief from the more mundane business of sharing useful knowledge on AWeb.

Prof Tots (Sr)???
I think this one's for you, Prof.
And Bil Loh & his buddies.

Shocking figures for the AIA's membership in Ireland particularly. It started the year with 195 members & ended with 138, with 62 members resigning during the year. A 29% fall!

Total members worldwide down from 5,077 to 4,669.
Wonder if the introduction of compulsory CPE (& the fact it has to be recorded with the AIA) has anything to do with it?

Not good news for Philip Turnbull & co.

What has the Association of International Athletics got to do with an accountancy website?
