Amending P35 2006/2007

Amending P35 2006/2007

Didn't find your answer?

If anyone has had any previous experience in amending a P35 and related P11s I would be grateful for their advice…..

The 2006/2007 P35 and P14’s etc were filing electronically well with the deadline this year, however it would appear an employees earning were incorrect and now require amending accordingly. Is it likely the company will suffer a penalty for this amendment?

Many thanks

amendments
The HMRC site has a very good facility to submit amendments electronically. I think it only works if the original submission was electronic.

The only time I have done late amendments (3 years backdated P11'd etc) was to reduce the various liabilities, and eventually rebates were issued. Because of the repayments there were no penalties. I understand if there had been any liability, only interest would have been charged.

I think they prefer incorrect paperwork submitted, and corrected at a later date rather than no paper work at all , which is why the penalties only kick in if paperwork is missing, rather the incorrect. (Unless of course it is intentional).
