Anyone know what is happening at PTP?

Didn't find your answer?

I have been trying to get support since 9:30 this morning.

The main telephone line 370470 used for sales and support is permanently engaged, non of the few DDI's I have (which I try never to use) are answered and just ring out and the e mail addresses are so far unanswered(assuming that they have enabled and allow read replies which I have received in the past)

Perhaps someone from PTP will be able to pick this thread up?

Any response yet?
Just wondered if you'd had a response from PTP yet. Its a bit concerning for any potential customers as well as existing users. I am surprised PTP havent commented on here as as am fairly sure most of the companies trawl this site.

I did indeed get a response today
I had a standard e mail which initially was exactly the same as that issued back when they released 2008 updates saying
'Good Morning.
As you may be aware, due to the huge amount of change to this years self assessment forms - the most for ten years, we are experiencing an unprecedented volume of calls at the moment which is resulting in longer than anticipated wait times.'

And an update set of FAQ's most of which seem to suggest that there will be a major update in June (Presumably very soon?)

The support person that I sent the email to got back to me this morning suffering badly from hayfever and said that she should be at home but the volume of work they had on was substantial at the moment. (It was a 5 second fix as it was the first time I had used the preview pane to print a pdf and one parameter needed changing from previous set up...which was to uncheck the printer adjustments ...'use printer object'.)

Perhaps I was lucky then
Neither of the CD's that I sent out actually worked (first one had no files on at all) so I had to update via a file e mailed to me :>)

However surely there must be a better system than 1 telephone line shared between support and sales.

I think they are having an unlucky year!
The batch of CD's they sent out for 2007/08 tax returns seem to have had a bug which had to be corrected via a patch (or two). Then a 3rd party link failed which meant that on-line filing didn't work for a while. I guess the queries are beginning to back-log.
