Are accountants entrepreneurs' most trusted source of advice?

Are accountants entrepreneurs' most trusted...

Didn't find your answer?

Over on UK Business Forums, we're currently asking who do entrepreneurs prefer to turn to for business advice? So far, professional advisors like accountants are in second place with other business owners the most popular choice. Should you be doing more to interact with your small business clients?

Depends on the accountant.
I have worked in industry and have owner managed a couple of small businesses and I find this gives me great credibility.

Look for the reasons!
A lot of business people (like others) trust their mates much more than the professionals because their mates empathise with them, do not charge them anything for advice, do not ask many searching questions and give them bags of enthusiastic support as opposed to guarded cautious answers! It might be good to follow up your original question with asking them reasons why.
