We are required to submit an audit compliance review to include one cold file review to the Chartered Accountants Regulatory Board in Ireland within 12 months of our audit registration. Can anyone recommend any providers. I see that Mercia, the 2020 group provide this service. As cash flow is tight we do not want to over pay for this service. Any suggestions would be welcome.

Mercia
Before I went out on my own my old firm used Mercia.
Probably not the cheapest (think the annual ACR was about £2k).
But their review is first class and invaluable. This cost covered two offices and six audit files, plus MLR issues.
I rememeber we got notice of a CARB visit. We asked Mercia to come out first and do their review.
It made our CARB visit a lot easier to handle. Whilst CARB still picked up on things,
we got through their review reasonably well.
Talk to Mercia on basis of shorter review and only one file.
They are usually accommodating. Ask for Brian Mailey.
