I have raised this question before but did not get a clear response so trying again.
I would be grateful for a feedback on AVN's System Builder. Does it make it a lot easier to record what ths system is?

In my opinion it's not all that.
If you are looking to document systems I would suggest using excel/word and hyperlinking to other documents. For example I have a document on our net work drive for dealing with new clients. Items on the list include carrying out ID checks and client authorisations. I have hyperlinked these words to other word documents that describe in details that process more thoroughly.

My old practice probably made more use of SystemBuilder than most firms, we even employed someone to manage the process around the software.
For me the value is in creating the systems and making sure they are used and there are other alternatives - have a look here.
And, I also think this is a service accountants can offer to clients.
