Benefits in kind
First a thank you. I posted a query here back in Oct/Nov, and received some prompt helpful information, Unfortunately, if there is such a facility on this site, I do not know how to access prvios questions and postings. Nevertheless, due to advice given here, I was able to access relevant information to formulate an appeal, and have this week been advised that the Revenue have accepted, which has saved my client what was for him a substantial tax bill. Not knowing the names of the respondents in question, my client and myself would like to thank all those who offer assistance through this forum.
Second, and not intending to be cheeky, I would be grateful if anyone could provide an answer to what may be a silly question,(I have not to date found any answer in our annual publications) My client, who is not happy about a benfit in kind charge, an appeal against which is in process, has asked if it is possible for a Company to simply adjust previous Accountsto to not claim for a vehicle on which a benefit in kind is being assessed. The Director's capital account seems to have sufficient balances to allow, though I have not yet carried out a detailed analysis. If such an adjustment is allowed, then I will carry out a cost/benfit analysis,
I
Any help, or advice on where relevant information can be located would be gratefully received. I will, of course be continuing my own research, but if anyone knows the answer, or where exactly to find it, then this would be useful.
