Two company directors buy a residential property in their own names .
property is let to their own trading company at market rent and the company in turn will make the property available to existing and new employees as rent free accomadation which in itself will attract a tax charge to each individual.
do readers feel that for the purpose of CGT taper relief the two directors will be deemed to own a business asset on the basis that the property will be used by a qualifying company for trade purposes. In simple words will the provision of accomadation be treated as an asset that is used for trade purposes?
