Cancellation Rights
Hello
I've become aware of the "Cancellation of Contracts Made in a Consumer’s Home or Place of Work etc Regulations 2008" and am a bit concerned.
I go out to clients work places to see them but I always follow up any visit with a formal Letter of Engagement which they sign a copy of and return it to me. Currently my letter makes no reference to a Notice of Right to Cancel or Cancellation form .. Can anyone advise me please, Am I am complying with the regs?
For good practice from now on I am going to put a 'notice of Right to Cancel' clause into my Letter of Engagement and will put a clause in all this years renewals documents to make sure I am covered but also as a fail safe for me as quite often the cliens books aren't quite as they described...
Thanks

Did you ever get an answer to this?
I do the same thing you describe and have come across the act too. Are you using engagement letters from a professional institute? I have a clause "disengagement" in the standard I use and will seek clarification from my Institute to see if that does the trick.
