i have tried to name a worksheet history but i cant as its a reserved word , never seen that before what does it mean and what is the significiance

I'm no expert but...
I believe the "history" name is reserved for tracking changes to spreadsheets etc - not sure if it depends on what version you are using.
Try history with a space as a sheet name - this should work.

As a rule 'reserved words' in the context of computer languages mean that the word is part of the language (special meaning) and as such you cannot use it as a variable
