Has anyone actually spoken to anybody at the CNR recently?

I have been trying all week and just get put on hold or told the office is closed when it is within working hours. I even get told it is possible to email an enquiry from the HMRC website CNR page but there is no link.

I requested a repayment for a client, using the Agent's On Line system, on 22 February but it wasn't actioned. I requested it again on 8 March, still no action.

Any ideas anyone?

I have not telephoned them recently but have received letters this week from "Charity, Assets and Residency, Residence" at St Johns House Liverpool tel: 0151 472 6208/6209

I did wonder that when I rang on Monday and the message said the office was closed although it was during opening hours. I thought it was only supposed to be 48 hours though.

I've spoken to them this week - but it took AGES on hold and endless recorded announcements before I spoke to a real person

I called on Wednesday from Ireland. I now think the Irish Revenue are quick after spending 45 minutes being transferred to received a "he's not available. Call back tomorrow"
