Change of registered office after balance sheet date

Change of registered office after balance sheet...

Didn't find your answer?

Currently preparing the accounts for a limited company that has changed its registered office address since the balance sheet date. Should the accounts show the old address on the grounds of that’s what it was at the balance sheet date, or the new address.

I know it’s not compulsory to disclose an address but I tend to include a company information sheet for all my accounts.

Thanks in advance

show the correct address
which is the current address.
If you show the old address the client may ask you:
"did you not be thinking to show the right address on the accounts?"

Current
You need to put the current address, as this will be the registered office when the directors sign the balance sheet. The old address is not really of any use to anyone. :)
