Climate levy and LPG tank

Climate levy and LPG tank

Didn't find your answer?

A client of mine is planning to instal an LPG tank for heating their home and outbuildings used for the business. The suppliers he is keen on using say he has to pay a Climate Levy as the tank holds more than 4000 litres - anybody know if this is correct?

1kg = 1 litre approx
Dependent upon the SG (specific gravity) of the product, 1 litre of product equates to 1 kg in weight.
4,000 litres would approximate to around 4 tonnes.
Hope this helps.

If I remember correctly
The limit on what is classified as domestic supply and therefore exempt is 2 tonnes. I can't say whether this equates to 4,000 litres, I'm afraid.
