Colllective Noun

Colllective Noun

Didn't find your answer?

I've been wondering, what would be the collective noun used to describe us - the accountants & tax advisors that use AccountingWeb?
Any answers?

Oh, what have you started?
According to my daughter, probably a Sadness. Hard to argue - here I am on a sunny Saturday afternoon, searching for a spreadsheet template.

Alternatively, sharing our knowledge in the interests of good practice, what about a Consultation?

Some years ago . . .

I was told the collective noun is a "fiddle" of accountants!

A Ledger?
Although I'm not sure if this covers the members of accounting web themselves or whether it's more appropriate for just accountants.

The best one I've heard lately is "a boutique of footballers' wives."

Angela :-)

I don't know about us...
.... but I believe the collective noun for our friends in the banks is a "wunch". :-)

have you got a lot of time on your hands?
the answer however is easy. amongst themselves this group are known as awebbers, but to the general public at large, they are known as an overpaid bunch of pen-pushing namby pandies
