CONTINUITY AGREEMENT

CONTINUITY AGREEMENT

Didn't find your answer?

I am in the process of investigating setting up an accountancy business next year.

I am a CIMA member - and will need to register as a "Member in Practice".

To do this, I will need to have a continuity agreement (an agreement with another accountant) should I become ill etc - so that any clients I have are catered for.

Has anyone any ideas on how to go about this? Have any other CIMA members got any advice?

Thanking you in advance for your advice!

The start point is where are you based!
Tracey

As Nicola said you need to let us know where you are based.

CIMA Mips do have regional groups and we should be able to put you in touch with a relevant practitioner.

Another point though is that it is not absolutely neccessary for the continuity agreement to be with another CIMA accountant.

Location?
I think you'll find you'll get someone via this site if you put the area you are in - its a fairly common question put on here.

Just out of interest ......
.....what services are you looking to provide in your new venture, and have CIMA been helpful in your decision making process ?? (I am an industry trained CIMA qualified, thinking of possibly offering financial management services in the future).

I would have thought that CIMA / Members in Practice division would be able to put you in touch with another member in your location ?
