Corporation Tax Online

Corporation Tax Online

Didn't find your answer?

I act as the agent for several companies, all of which I filed the CT returns online. This was for various year ends including December 2005, Jan 2006 and April 2006, which were all filed in November and December 2006. Several of the companies had paid their tax before I filed the CT returns, so there is a small overpayment on them, (up to a couple of hundred pounds in some cases). I would like to get these overpayments repaid, but there doesn't seem to be an option to do this on the HMRC website.

Does anyone know how I can get overpaid Corporation Tax refunded?

Thanks in advance for your help.

CT refund
Best thing to do is write/call the local office for the client and request a refund, numbers are normally on CT corespondence. Our local branch (Norwich) are pretty good. Refunds have taken around 3 weeks to come through though.

They then request the refund from the Accounts Office but for some reason you can not contact the accounts office direct, I guess because it is simply a big processing centre.

Good luck!
