Corporation Tax Relief on Patent Costs

Corporation Tax Relief on Patent Costs

Didn't find your answer?

Is corporation tax relief allowed on professional fees (re patent) written off to the profit and loss account as incurred?
As far as tax treatment following accounting treatment goes - I would say yes.
However, this is for developing a slightly different new product - so is it arguably not carried out for a trade? (Actual production and sale does not look likely in the near future).

Any help appreciated.

Dave
