Cost effective payroll system

Cost effective payroll system

Didn't find your answer?

As I keep getting requests to do payroll as well as end of year/ tax advice I really need a system that is cost effective that can handle multiple clients and produce payslips.  Been doing things by hand and using the HMRC CD but it's reached a point now where there must be a far easier way yet I don't want to break the bank doing this.  Has anyone else out there faced the same dilemma and solved it successfully?

Moneysoft too

I'd recommend Moneysoft too,

There's lots of similar threads on here and nearly all of them say Moneysoft...

It's quick, straightforward to use.  Payslips can printed to pdf and on plain paper, too, if you don't want to use pre-printed stationery (although it will handle that too).  It also handles multi-company easily.  And P11Ds...

Brilliant piece of software.

Moneysoft Payroll Manager

I often wonder if someone linked to Moneysoft post a question like this every so often!!  In the safe knowledge that lots of answers will be for their product.

In any case their product is great.  Check it out.

12pay

I have tried out Moneysoft and opted for 12pay instead due to the user interfaces.

Same price

Moneysoft

No shadow of a doubt.  And I don't care if the Moneysoft owners are posting the questions, I am more than happy to recommend them over and over again as long as the software remains fab and the price great.

Another answer

Of course another solution is to contract the job out to a small specialist company that has a track record in providing a cost effective efficient service to small business - and which incidentally uses Moneysoft! Interest to declare - I run just such an agency!

Interesting

Hello again.  Just to confirm that my question was genuine and I have no affiliation to any payroll software company or agency!  Will pick this up tomorrow and get rolling on sorting out my payroll issues!  Thanks.

Sage
I actually use Sage Payroll (have used Earnie in the past but couldn't get my head around it) but am very tempted (based mainly on posts here) to go over to Moneysoft. Other than the difference in cost (Sage is already paid for, and Moneysoft would be a further investment) is there any other advantage to Moneysoft/12pay?

Does anyone else use Earnie, and what are one's thoughts?

Payroll System

Hi, depending on how many companies and employees you need now and as your requirements grow, Pegasus offer 2 Payroll solutions, Capital Payroll and the Award Winning Opera II Payroll System (Opera II Payroll has been shortlisted again this year )  - Capital Payroll is a very cost effective entry level software for small businesses with on line submission as standard. Opera II is for the SME market full of functionality, easy to use with add-on features that includes email payslips and XRL Management Reporting. Happy to send you demonstration discs and PDF and/or hard copy information, just email [email protected] or call me on 020 8605 9701 to discuss your options without any obligation.

.

Don't worry about how many payrolls you carry out or the number of employees - Moneysoft Payroll Manager deals with it all with ease.

I would never consider another Payroll solution - even if there was a free one!  This is the easiest decision I make each year (along with VT).  I only wish my practice software was that easy - https://www.accountingweb.co.uk/anyanswers/practice-software-help

Alternatively...

Instead of purchasing software, have you considered using a fully managed payroll outsourcing service? We look after over 800 payrolls on behalf of over 40 accountancy practices. Why do they choose to outsource? Because we handle all of the client (& HMRC) interaction on their behalf providing unlimited support and advice to their clients as well as to the practice. and the clients receive reports and security payslips branded with the accountant's logo.

All our partners have to do is invoice their clients every month, secure in the knowledge that all the issues of holiday cover, resilience, security and back-up etc are taken care of.

If you'd like to find out what our clients think of us, please take a look at our web site www.payroll-svs.co.uk.

Adrian Coppola, Managing Director, Payroll Services.
