CRM Software / Client Database

CRM Software / Client Database

Didn't find your answer?

Hello.

We are looking for software to keep track of all client contact, be it telephone, meeting etc...

Ideally this would link to a Palm Pocket computer but not totally essential.

What experiences have you had? We've tried ACT! - seriously do not like it. (sorry Sage/Act!).

How about TCM or Goldmine?

Many thanks

Paul Roscoe

Goldmine
I've used Act in the past and currently use Goldmine. There is no comparison, Goldmine is so much easier to use and more flexible, however there are a couple of issues.

The internal reporter is awful!!! You need to make sure you have a copy of Crystal reports or equivlent to get information out. Also, it's not really windows so it's not possible to cut and paste a whole address in one go.

That said, if you go with the SQL version you can synchronize with MS Outlook, and you can use Word for letters etc.

The product is good but make sure you have a good look to make sure the above isnt going to be too much of a disadvantage.

Kind Regards

Integrated CRM and practice management
Have you considered taking an integrated approach?

We provide a fully integrated CRM and practice management system called PROcost Control Desk. This provides, within one system using a single database, time and fees, billing, fees ledger, purchase ledger and CRM. The CRM side includes:

Document management (with integrated scanning)
Call and note management
Email management
Work flow management
Diary system (with integration to Outlook and through this to handheld devices)
Resource planning (integrated to the diary system).
Telephony links.

It also integrates with our accounts production and tax systems.

You therefore have a single source of entry and reference, and only one database to maintain.

If you would like more information, please call 020 8390 8111, or visit our web site www.proacc.co.uk.

One to consider
One more to consider is Aladesc
email,web,group client diary etc
No current link to pocket pc or palm though.
We have used it in house for some time now to track prospective and current customers log activities, wishes, problems, solutions.
Using bulletins part of programme we have built up a searchable knowledge base that covers all major parts of our business.

Client Database
You could ahve a look at http://www.moneysoft.co.uk 's Office Manager and beter still phone them, speak to Gavin McHamish, the owner and user who set it all up for his own use and is continualy upgrading it. for his own and other business' use. When I last spoke to him, he was finalising a new release but that has not as yet taken place. 'Course it is much more than JUST a client database, yet it is a cost effective piece of software that is easy to install and easier to use.
