We receive orders from almost all our customers by EDI; our SOP system is used to process, print and send sales invoices by EDI. Printing the invoices is very time-consuming and storing them uses a lot of valuable space.
I am aware of the requirements to keep accounting records and documents, but do they have to be physically printed or is an electronic version acceptable? Of course, our SOP system is adequately backed-up and archived, so we can ensure that a copy could be printed/reviewed at a later date if required.
