Doctors again

Didn't find your answer?

I can't believe I'm the only (small practitioner) struggling to prepare GP accounts.
I've been on the BMA and Pensions agency sites and while there is a wealth of useful (sic) information I can't find anything that draws it all together. ( I previously used the ABG professional information book - Doctors by John Dean). Is anyone aware of such a resource.
My current dilemma relates to the superannuation due in Feb 06. The balance of Quality payment received in April 05 (MArch 05 year end) was of course received gross and will form part of the amount returned on the new style certificate in Feb 06. Payments on account have been witheld by the NHS Trust and these have been split between the partners on the monthly statements. But am I right in assuming that we should ignore that split and divide it in accordance with profit allocation. Also do we accrue for the additional s/ annuation which will be payable on these profits? When is the tax relief claimed for that s/annuation - against these profits or when actually paid over ie in 2005/06.
Sorry for the length of the post but I could go on and on...
Is anyone proposing to finalise accounts to 31 March 2005 anytime soon or are we all likely to sit on drafts until some kind soul produces a guide for us all?
