Doctors' superannuation

Doctors' superannuation

Didn't find your answer?

Still not been able to establish whether underpayment of 6% and 14% superannuation is allowable on accrued basis or on cash basis. Currently advising clients of provisional tax liabilities on worst case position. But when are we going to find out. The NHSPA website doesn't appear to have anything new. Who should we contact at HM C & R?
Also have a doctor retired at 31st March 2005. If the relief is on cash basis is there to be any " mopping up" relief?

Don't accrue
See Martin Southern's reply to "Doctor' - uyes it's me again" 18 Jul 2005. Don't accrue. Show payments in the year as an expense. I know this makes no sense at all, but there it is. I will be adjusting profit allocations to take account of the differing "employer's" contributions in the following year's accounts.Every year will run one year behind. What Brain of Britain dreamed up this scheme?
