Dormant compant, just AA02 & CT41g

Dormant compant, just AA02 & CT41g

Didn't find your answer?

Hi

A new client has 7 companies, 4 of which have never traded, and were set up approximately 6 months ago.

Ive checked, and want to make sure that Im doing everything ok. I understand that I complete forms AA02 for companies house and send forms ct41g to HMRC, just ticking the first box stating that the company is dormant ?

I know this should have been done when the co's were set up, but I wasnt involved at that stage.

Is there anything that Im missing ?

Thanks !!!!!!

Sounds right

... now that I have discovered that Companies House form AA02 is what most of us refer to as form DCA, Dormant Company Accounts, or .PDF template ABBRV if you are filing online.  In due course, you will need to file Annual Returns (forms AR01 to you) at Companies House.

HMRC may ask you to complete form CT41G (Dormant Company Insert).  You need to have confirmation back from HMRC that they are treating the company as dormant and will therefore not require Company Tax Returns (forms CT600).
