European Nationals

Didn't find your answer?

I have a client who has setup a limited company in the UK and is living and working here, he is drawing a salary from the compnay and paying tax and NI.
Prior to setting up the company in November he was working here during the week but raising all invoices under his german company and filing a german tax return.

He now has a UK tax return to complete do i need to declare any of the income that has been declared in germany and do i need to even know about this income?

Thanks in advance for your help on this one.

yes
Assuming your client was operating a business in the UK, he would need to declare all income from that business, and use the provisions of the double-tax treaty between UK and Germany to avoid a double tax charge.
