Excel 2007 Error message

I have never came across the following error message on previous excel versions, but I have now in excel 2007.The error is: “Cannot shift objects off sheet”.I am simply trying to insert a new column between two existing columns. I have figures in Columns “A” and “B”. As far as I know, I do not have any objects on my spreadsheet. To overcome the error, I just highlight the whole columns and shifted them in order to insert a new column. I am sure this is easy for some excel users, but I cannot work out. Thanks for you help!

Hi
Check the following knowledge base article on Microsoft's website (it includes ways to deal with this error):

Richard

Cannot shift objects off sheet

You have reached the limit of number of columns allowed.

To add more columns, you have to delete some columns.
