Excel destination key

Excel destination key

Didn't find your answer?

In MS excel the F2 key is very useful to analyse the origin of a formula used in a Cell. Is there a reverse key, to find out the connected "destinations" for any Cell number?

trace dependents
Ctrl + [ (open square bracket) highlights dependent cells on the same worksheet.

Ctrl + ] highlights precedent cells.

This can be more useful than the audit tools, as you can immediately highlight (e.g. by changing fill colour) all the cells you need to check.

Auditing
Go into the Auditing menu from Tools and you will see Trace Dependants and Trace Precedents. Don't know about a keyboard short cut.
