Excel Help please

Can any Excel wizz help me please.

I have c. 10,000 lines of data all in column A which is in the form FieldA/FieldB/FieldC etc to Field G

Field A is easy it's the same in every record so I can use "left" or "right" to remove it, but fields B through G are of variable length and content including spaces and occasionally symbols

Ideally I'd like to seperate into 6 columns of data, each field is seperated by the "/" but I just can't seem to find any easy way to do this.

Using latest verison Excel and all updates done

Anyone out there able to show up my woeful excel knowledge please?

With Excel 2007:

Go to 'Data' ribbon

Select your data in Col A

Text to Columns

Check 'delimited' - Next

Put a / beside 'other' - Next  (assumes you havn't any '/' characters in your data)

Change formats if you want to, then finish

Perfect
