Excel Tax Formula - Supplementary

Excel Tax Formula - Supplementary

Didn't find your answer?

Further to the recent posting on this topic on 27 June would anyone have available details of an Excel formula/s to calculate gross pay before tax and NIC from a given value of net pay?

Thanks in advance.

I'm sure it does Alan,
I was merely pointing out that if you already have a spreadsheet to hand which calculates gross to net, you can effectively work backwards with it.

Search back through ExcelZone any answers over the last year or
and you should find this answered. I did put together a spreadsheet that did this.

If I get a chance to check back this evening I shall update this with the link

EDIT: Just follow the previous post link in my first answer to the 27 June 2006 post.

[EDIT] I should have put it on the spreadsheet, but it is E&OE, no liability accepted etc

Goal Seek
Or, if you already have a gross to net spreadsheet, use the "goalseeking" function under tools to find the gross required to reach the net salary needed.
