Financial Software Accreditation

Financial Software Accreditation

Didn't find your answer?

Is anybody aware of any Accreditations awarded to Financial Software particularly with respect to the Public Sector or Local Government?

Not sure if this helps
Natalie

Many of the big players in local government are big players in the 'commercial sector' there are few players who are local government only. So the previous comment about BASDA is a reasonable place to start.

Interested know what the perceived benefits are of financial software providers having 'seperate' public sector accreditations?

You could try SOCITM for any information that they can provide or maybe CIPFA.

If you are trying to find out information with respect to which are the strong players in local government, drop me an email and I will send you some upto date info.

Somewhere to start
Hi Natalie

I cant think of any as specific as you're after but there are two that may give you a starting place. BASDA is an organisation that offers accreditations to software authors. You can find them at:

http://www.basda.org

Alternatively the government runs an IT accredited scheme. This is aimed more at resellers than authors:

http://www.technologymeansbusiness.org.uk/

Hope this helps.
