French URSAFF social security contributions

French URSAFF social security contributions

Didn't find your answer?

Has anyone any experience with French social security.  My client is a UK resident who trades through a UK resident company.  She has just contracted to do a small amount of work for a French college.  This is a contract with the UK resident company and yet they are seeking to levy around 14% URSAFF contributions.

From the wonders of google it seems like the 14% may be a reduced rate already.

Help gratefully received.

French Accountant

Hi

I am a French based accountant and the social charges you are refering to are to reduce the social debt! They are in fact reduced as we in France pay up to 50% in social charges!

form e101

my colleague sent me this:

I’ve spoken to the HMRC department that issues the E101 Certificates (which basically acts to exempt the overseas income from suffering the equivalent of NI over there) - their phone number is 08459 154 811. There are two forms that need to be completed : CA3821 by the employerCA3822 by the employee There’s currently a 6-8 week turnaround time in processing these although the employer form (CA3821) can be submitted online.
