Gateway timeout - lost the lot ....

Gateway timeout - lost the lot ....

Didn't find your answer?

Resulting in all the typed in text being lost - a complete waste of time and effort trying to engage with Aweb if it continues to do this (see previous post - was going to be investigated - anything found?)

Aweb really does need to sort this out otherwise it is simply not worth trying to post anything on the site

As one can probably have guessed - not happy!

Not the same problem but still annoying

I've been finding that the website is getting very slow loading up pages. Even failing to open a question without a couple of clicks.

Don't have the problem with any other sites. Perhaps the website is getting too big.

Gateway error

I have had this error many times. Also, if you click the page refresh it posts your response again and then you have to go in to delete the duplicate posts.

I notice other duplicated posts so I assume others have had the same problem.

Doesn't solve the timeout problem

But if you type your question in a word processing package and then copy it into AW once it is finished, your text is still in your WP software.

Other sites

I second the WP solution and basically whenever I am posting a reply on here (or anywhere else) I instinctively do it in word first then copy if needed

We're working on things

Hi guys

Thanks for reporting this.

We are aware our system has caught a cold and this has been getting steadily worse over recent weeks. We have increased the time out limit so that even if it does take you a while to load it shouldn't time out as much now.

With respect to things taking so long in the first place, we have plans which will improve this but it will take us some time to get through everything here and get to a stage where you will notice a real difference out there. Once things are in place they need testing and debugging and this is what takes the time.

We are really sorry about this, but rest assured that we have a dedicated team of very clever techy people who are making it a priority to get through this stuff as quickly as possible.

Keep reporting things back to us, and in the meantime we will keep issuing the Lemsip and hot water bottles until we are well and truly better again!
