have a Ltd company set up from new, but acquired goodwill, independetly valued, from another Ltd co which the two directors were involved in. The new co acquired the goodwill @ 01.03.07 and is currently sitting in balance sheet. Due to file first year accounts and would like to amortise the goodwill. What is the correct way to do this and the tax implications of doing so?
