Thanks to the new Companies Act one of my clients will need to complete consolidated accounts from next year. This will be my only consolidated set of accounts.
I currently use VT as my accounts prep software (and am reasonably satisfied with it), VT however will not allow the preparation of consolidated accounts. Does anyone know of an easy to use package which would allow me to produce consolidated accounts on a once-per-year basis in a cost-effective manner?

Caseware
I've used Caseware extensively for this purpose and it deals with consolidation wonderfully. However, not sure whether the learning curve in using it and the £750 odd it costs (when I last checked a while back) will be worth it for one client?!
As first responder says, probably best to knock it up on Excel, for just one set.
