How can I update Sage Line 100 from 2 remote...

Didn't find your answer?

There are 2 installations of Sage Line 100, how can I update one to the other without duplicating data?

Terminal Services
Sage Line 100 is not normally set up to be used from multiple locations. The best solution we have found for similar set ups it to have the software installed at one site, and set up a Terminal Server to allow you to link to the software from a remote office.

This normally requires both sites to have a broadband Internet connection, and normally set up a VPN connection between the sites.

The costs of setting this up are normally outweighed by removing duplication of data uinput and worrying about which version is most up to date, etc. It also means that all reports can be run real-time, without having to wait for the end of the period when data is copied from one site to another.

Costs to set up depend on what you currently have in place, but if you assume a new server to run Terminal Services, licencing and configuration - total cost would be around £2000.

With your Sage Line 100 licencing, you could also then change from two separate site licences to a two user single site license, which should reduce the mainenence costs.

If you want to discuss this option in more detail please email me.

Dont think so
Hi Jonathan,

I'm afraid I think the answer is no. Presumably you have two datasets for the same company and maybe need to, say, post nominal journals in one which would update the other but without overwriting any transactions that have been put in to the main one?

There isnt a standard feature in Line 100 that will do this, but yf you can give me more details, either here or directly by email then we may we able to help you get a workaround.

I look forward to hearing from you.
