How do I unscramble Fulcrum/Excel formatting?

How do I unscramble Fulcrum/Excel formatting?

Didn't find your answer?

I have just installed Fulcrum Accounts preparation software. It works well but it has changed all Excel spreadsheet columns to numeric. How do I change back to alpha?

Thanks for the feedback David & Paul
David - the Fulcrum Accounts product only went live on our Software Tools page yesterday, so you are one of the first users to give us any feedback.

Glad to hear that you like Fulcrum Accounts and hope that it brings you many happy and productive hours prepping incomplete accounts.

You have our apologies for the formatting quirk, which Paul has correctly identified and corrected (thanks & respect too, Paul). We're sorry that the R1CI reference style option crept in there and have amended the download file. Anybody else who buys it will be spared the same problem thanks to you both.

PS - we're quite pleased you used Any Answers and got such a quick response. We will investigate the possibility of putting a special user help Any Answers section on the Software Tools page itself.

On the "Tools" menu...
...choose "Options".

Select the "General" tab. The first tick-box is "R1C1 reference style". Clear this box and it should revert back to letters, unless the software is over-riding this control.
