How to trace a persons whereabouts.

How to trace a persons whereabouts.

Didn't find your answer?

Please, can someone tell me how I can trace the whereabouts of someone who has moved. I know the town where he has moved to. I considered looking at the Electoral register, but that is impractical, as it is organised not by individual names, but by street!

UK Info Disc
I find the UK Info People Finder Disc most useful...

31 million electoral rolls records, 15 million Dir Enq, 2 million compnay records

Just type in the name (and a location eg Glasgow if you want to narrow it down easier), press button and hey presto.

Doesn't work for absolutely everyone, but still excellent.

Thanks everyone for their help.
Thanks to all who helped. I found my former client. I used 192.COM . There is a charge, of about 15 pounds, and you can make several searches. First, though, see if the person you are looking for can be found by them in the latest electoral register (this search is free). If all it can find is in last years register, no point in paying to get the previous address. Other than that, it is quite straightforward and quick.

It used to work...
Many years ago I worked for one of the 'big four' high street banks. Although we didn't give out information on new addresses we would forward letters if a blank, stamped envelope was included.

Do you know their banking details? or better still their branch manager? Might be worth a try. They might just be daft enough to respond!

Alternatively have you tried getting someone to ask the new occupants for forwarding info? Works better if a woman asks under the pretext of delivering a birthday card... sneaky but true!!

Good Luck

You could try this:
I haven't tried this but they are not supposed to charge unless they actually find the person for you. Given that you aren't going to use it unless you are owed fees and can't find them yourself it may be worthwhile:

Call Me
I have a girl who is just 'mustard' finding people without leaving her office.

It's frightening what you can find out if you only have the !!!!! to ask.

Give me a call on 01206 393982 and I will give you her details.
