Depends on the level of detail you need
Rohit,

You're already aware of some of the online subscription services, so I can't help you there. But you can find some background material and summaries of IAS/IFRSs on our Financial Reporting Expert Guides page, which links to the Solomon Hare online library (£99 for 12-month subscription).

If you want to look at the standards themselves, you can find them via the IASB website. Summaries are available as free PDF files, but you have to pay a subscription to view the full standards.

For free information, some of the big firms do very comprehensive guides (I've seen good material from both PwC & Deloitte). You might try ringing them and asking them to send you copies - they're useful, but may not be comprehensive enough to get you through an exam.

As far as books are concerned, I've got a 2001 edition of 'Miller International Accounting Standards Guide' by David Alexander and Simon Archer - but unsure about any updates.

There's also 'International Financial Reporting Standards 2003' from the IASC itself.

I hope you manage to find the information you need.
