Didn't find your answer?

Can someone please advise if Institute of Accounting Technicians in Ireland is recognised by HMRC for MLR, just as Association of Accounting Technicians in the UK is? And if not could someone please enlighten as to why. Thank you for your replies.

Why?

There is a list of bodies recognised as ML supervisors for accountants in practice in the UK. The list forms a schedule to the UK MLR 2007.

In order to be recognised these bodies had to meet certain statutory criteria and then had to apply to be recognised as a ML supervisory body in the UK.

I don't know whether IATI applied. Maybe they did not.

The list has already been amended once since the original publication of MLR 2007. My understanding is that HM Treasury is not likely to want to add further to the list of supervisory bodies at this time.

Would registering with HMR&C cause you real problems (apart from paying the registration fee)?
