Investments - Disclsure in Accounts

Investments - Disclsure in Accounts

Didn't find your answer?

Small company A holds 20% of the shares of small company B. I understand that in its annual accounts for the shareholders (and presumably the Inland Revenue) full disclosure of its investment i.e. number of shares held, name of company, country of registration, class of share, % of shares held together with details of the aggregate capital and reserves and profit for the year of company B is required in the notes to those accounts.
However if company A chooses to file abbreviated accounts with the Registrar, what disclosure, if any, does the company need to make in the notes to those abbreviated accounts reagrding the investment?
Any help would be appreciated.

disclosure requirments
You need to put a note as follows:
Under Fixed assets investments

the companys investments at balance sheet date
in the share capital of unlisted companies
include the following:

B Ltd
Nature of Business

Class of Shares % of holding.

You also need to include related party
transactions.(if any)
