Iris display problem

Iris display problem

Didn't find your answer?

Just tried to call Iris support & they are so busy they are not taking calls - once again. Their email support takes a week or so to respond so any other help would be welcome.
Trying to run the clear totals routine after the year end - a box comes up & you select monthly, 2 weekly etc & then choose whether to keep M1 suffixes etc. The box is too small for the content - there is no OK button & it doesn't resize when I try expanding the box. I've tried changing my icon size on the desktop but its the smallest already - any other ideas?

Here's your fix
I won't say how I know this.....

The problem that you are having is due to the resolution settings on your PC.

You need to check the followin:

Go to the control Panel and then Display settings:

Click the settings tab

Check that the resolution is at 1024

Click Advanced. Check that the DPI setting is set to 96 normal. (I think this will be your problem. If not, change to 96 normal and then click apply.

Also check the "appereance" Tab to make surte that your font size is normal. If not change. Apply, close Control Pannel and then re;oad IPM. You should then see all the boxes and the buttons....

NEXT!

It's good of Scribbles to help on this topic - and his/her offer of help on a related thread:
Any IRIS question

It has been difficult to ignore the recent sequence of discussions on IRIS PAYEmaster v5, including the following postings:

Following Nick Myles' post, we brought some of the concerns raised to the attention of IRIS. The company's answers have now been published in our article IRIS responds to PAYE-Master gripes

Iris Payemaster? Not surprised there are unhapy users out there.

We found service went downhill - and 'sales' guy had very limited perception of customer thinking.

So we voted with our feet. All payrolls now run on Payroll Manager from Moneysoft.

Results? We're happier with easier to use system. Clients happier with less paper and clearer presentation.

P35 online filing
We have so far been unable to file any P35's online for any of our 50 employers! Keep getting a "time out" message. Sent emails to both Inland Revenue and Iris last Wednesday (12th April) and so far no response. Help! Starting to panic.

Some suggestions...
Assuming that there is an OK box, try the following:

1. Hit the Enter key on your keyboard, which should activate any OK buttons on a window.
2. See if the window has a 'focus' (the dotted line that appears around objects on a window). If there is one, keep pressing tab so it moves around. If it disappears, it could have landed on the OK button (or Cancel button, if there is one) that's drawn off the window.

Further to your comment regarding icons sizes, I've got one more thought. If you have a large monitor, do you know whether Windows' display has been set to compensate for a high resolution? If so, this may be causing the windows to incorrectly draw.

To check, there's an Advanced button on the Settings tab of the Display Control Panel that lets you set fonts to be more or less than 100% of their normal size. Check the DPI setting. If it says Large Size in the DPI setting, set it to Normal Size.

NB - I shouldn't fiddle around with custom sizes. Setting the display to less than 75% will make Windows illegible.

Hope that helps.
