Nick, you'll find it here...
IRIS not commenting on sale speculation.

The item would have been temporarily unavailable, but only for a brief period, when I added some background material to it late yesterday evening. So far, all there is to go on is the Daily Telegraph's speculative report.

I have been checking with a wide collection of possible sources, but they are telling me that all they really know is what they saw in the Telegraph, which suggested that IRIS owner Hg Capital is looking for around £300 million (for a £45 million turnover company). For obvious reasons, IRIS will neither confirm nor deny the report.

The Telegraph trots out some usual suspects for potential buyers (Infor, Sage... and Accenture?). You can have endless fun speculating about stories like this (and I have), but unless you have a couple of hundred million to spare, I wouldn't get too worked up over it.

We'll update the story if we pick up any more concrete news.
