Iris & Windows XP

I have recently upgraded my machine from a PIII 700 running Windows 98 to a P4 2.0ghz on Windows XP. Since the update the programs run a lot slower (especially personal tax). Pervasive etc is installed correctly Iris hardware believe it may be a conflict with the Intel chipsets but the latest drivers have been downloaded with no difference noted in speed.

Has anyone else experienced these problems and have any suggestions?
