Is it 23:59 on 19 May?

Is it 23:59 on 19 May?

Didn't find your answer?

I have never had to cut it this fine with PAYE year end returns, but I am currently waiting for an agent authorisation code to file a clients return.

Is the deadline 23:59 on 19 May 2009 or 00:00 on 19 May 2009?

I don't want to make the assumption that it is at the end of 19 May and end up with a £100 penalty!

Many thanks

This is a bit silly
I am not talking about monthly paye or giraffes, i'm talking about your q so i dont understand your ref.
anyway, never had a client fine stick to do with PAYE ever, thats why i said what i said. I do understand SA fines come to the client in a bucket of cement and they will not budge unless you show no tax due or something miraculous but not with PAYE y/e returns.

Filing Only Agent
As mentioned below ... why not use the Unauthorised Agent / Filing only agent facility on the HMRC Website?

P35 Online Filing
Hi Claudia

If you use the HMRC website you can file a P35 without authorisation. I haven't used it for a couple of years, but I've just signed in and the facility still appears to be there.

So which is it?
Ronald - I am not talking about monthly PAYE payments - but the year end return!!!!

Trevor - thank you for your help.

If the secret squirrel code does not turn up in time - is it cutting it too fine to post guaranteed next day delivery on Monday 18th May? There used to be a period of grace, but I cannot find any details about this.

Many thanks

Claudia

Most
HMRC deadlines are end of day except for those that allow hand or postal delivery by the commencement of the next working day therefore you are looking at 23.59 and 59 seconds
