Is Land Registry compensation taxable?
A client has received Land Registy compensation as a result of a fraudulent property sale. The property was owned by an LLP, the partners of which are an individual (50%) and a limited company (50%). I believe the individual's share of the compensation is tax-free, but does the same apply to the limited company's share?
