Land Registry Details to be Checked

Land Registry Details to be Checked

Didn't find your answer?

1. One of our client is going through problems with her husband. She thinks that her husband who owns a number of properties is transfering them to an offshore company without telling her. Would the Inland Revenue pick up these transactions from the Stamp duty being paid on transfers? Would the Inland Revenue get this information from the Land Registry. Our client is keen not to miss out on any thing on divorce settlement.

The client should see a solicitor urgently

Muhammad

Your client should see a solicitor urgently. A solicitor could check the current ownership of the properties at the Land Registry and register a 'caution' at the Land Registry and, if necessary, take other steps which should prevent her losing out in any divorce settlement.
